 The Darkest Night
« Thread Started on Nov 5, 2005, 10:30pm »

The midnight sky was blanketed in a cloudy covering, a light drizzle fell upon the ground. Daggers plunged into the ground eyes took in the surroundings, he snorted and came to a stop. Auds still watching, nares taking in the scent of the area. The midnight stallion stood under the clouds, hating that he would have to be claimed be another stag's slave, yet he hoped to hold a position of order. The Lipizanner tossed his head and stomped impatiently, waiting, watching...

Aros sauntered through the rainwash, feeling each drop fall upon his coat. He rather liked rain, he enjoyed each minute pinprick when it was rough, and he reveled in the soft splashes it conjured when it was not. Today, was a good day to be in the rain. The drizzle made his black form appear sleeker than usual, highlighting his well defined muscles across the shoulder and haunch. He lowered his muzzle for a rip of the wet grass, always juicier when wet, but paused. Ahed, his midnight toned gaze noted, stood a stag. His instant reaction was to adorn the pose of a rival, flattening his ears atop his skull, swishing his tail angrily.. but hesitated after a moment. The stag in the distance looked nothing like Aros's two rivals, no. This one was something different... someone he had yet to meet...

All the easier for him. Aros did a half-rear to jumpstart his haunches, pushing himself instantly into a gallop. It wasn't nearly as fast as he could do, but he wasn't going to bother with a slow approach. He closed the distance between them quickly, veering suddenly to cut around the front, and halt. Abruptly he stood there, his expression suspicious, but not enraged. After all, these were not HIS lands.. but still, the presence of another stag was enough to ruffle his feathers.. so to speak.

What brings you out here, brute?

His eyes darted across the other's form, taking him in. Aros didn't bother to stand still, he was easier attacked that way. Shifting his weight, he moved slightly right, then paced back, never taking his gaze off the stallion.
